In the year 1986 Mr. Kirit H. Patel started his own manufacturing unit of Solar Water Heater Under the name of ENERGY EQUIPMENTS with the brand name URMI. Before establishing URMI SOLAR SYSTEMS Ltd  Mr. Patel worked for more than 8 years in field of manufacturing, project and installation of basic engineering products like heat exchangers, fans and blower, pressure vessels and Plant equipment, water pumping wind mills, solar water heaters, solar cookers, solar distillation.
With such a rich experience a first generation techno crate Mr. Patel took the initiative to start up the manufacturing unit with a vision to excel in the field of solar thermal devices. Today Mr. Patel excelled in all the field of the society he being the techno crate handled his organization single handedly with only 5 employees and today his company is still growing as much faster rate to achieve the excellence in the entire field. He has been awarded with AMA Metrochem Outstanding Manager of Year by Ahmedabad Management Association for the year 2008.
